Green Meetings
Monkhouse Granary has a positive attitude to protecting the environment & green actions are part of the everyday approach of the business. The team are currently developing a list of these actions so that you, our guests, can read here on the website exactly what we do.
Outlined are just a few examples:
- Locally sourced ingredients for our catering
- Cakes & Biscuits are homemade & so generate no food miles at all!
- Filtered water used from on-site borehole - no chemicals added
- Fresh flowers are used in the rooms, grown in the Monkhouse garden
- Paper is recycled
- Glass is recycled
- Furniture is sourced locally & manufactured using sustainable wood
- A non electric floor sweeper is used in between electric sweepings, to save electricity
